Haritha Keralam Mission is one of the four flagship missions of the Government of Kerala under the Navakeralam Karma Padhathi. Launched on December 8, 2016, the Mission aims to build a clean, green, and sustainable Kerala, guided by the motto “Water, Hygiene, and Harvest.” It serves as a convergence platform, bringing together government departments, agencies, Local Self-Government Institutions, and communities to undertake coordinated, people-focused environmental action across the state.

As Kerala moves towards its goal of achieving Net Zero Carbon Emissions by 2050, the Mission has launched its flagship initiative “Net Zero Carbon Keralam Janangaliloode,” highlighting the importance of people’s participation in climate action. As part of its continued efforts to strengthen environmental stewardship, Haritha Keralam Mission is planning to host a three-day Environment Summit on 23, 24, and 25 February 2026.

Marking nearly a decade of impactful grassroots work, the Haritha Keralam Mission Environment Summit will bring together experts, researchers, policymakers, and practitioners. The Summit will focus on key themes, including water conservation, waste management, eco-restoration, climate-resilient agriculture, renewable energy, biodiversity conservation, and Net Zero planning. It will showcase successful initiatives from across Kerala, host thematic discussions, and hold a high-level Round Table on 24 February 2026 to contribute to Vision 2030 and Kerala’s roadmap to Net Zero 2050, positioning Kerala as a leading example of people-driven climate action.
